WHAT IS SMART SYNC™ TECHNOLOGY?

Smart Sync allows Brilliant Wonders LED products to communicate with each other and pool automation systems. In fact, options are available for compatibility with all major pool control systems. Smart Sync is simple to install and use. It’s built in, so all you have to do is order the correct style for your pool controls, and it just works! Keep reading for tips on installing LED Products using Smart Sync Technology.

Typical LED pool lighting choices are limited by the pool control system. You have to select lighting accessories that are compatible with your main pool controls for everything to work correctly. With Smart Sync, you don’t have to be limited by your choice of pool controls anymore . . . OUR LIGHTING + YOUR CONTROLS = SMART SYNC™.

1. Use the Smart Sync Adapter for LED Waterfalls

Most Brilliant Wonders LED Products have the “brains” built in the light module. All programming is internal. Brilliant Wonders LED Waterfalls are powered by a thin LED strip, so all of the intelligence is actually external. The good news is there is only one Adapter required for use with your pool automation. Using the Smart Sync Adapter you can select the correct mode for your controls: CMP/J, H and P Styles. The control dial is right on the side so setup is easy. Check out the infographic below for a quick run-down.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW

• No other CMP control is required. The Smart Sync Adapter is not compatible with the Colorwheel Control
• An LED indicator light is built is for quick syncing reference
• A simple 12V transformer is required and should be installed in between the Smart Sync Adapter and any automation or controls

2. Every Brilliant Wonders Product that uses Smart Sync must be installed with a 12V transformer.

LED Products using Smart Sync are designed to be installed with automation or a switch to control the lighting. A 12V AC transformer is not included with each product and must be installed in between the Brilliant Wonders product and the control system.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW

• This includes the Smart Sync LED Waterfall Adapter – a 12V AC transformer is always required
• The 12V DC Power Supply used with the Colorwheel control CAN NOT be used with any 12V AC Brilliant Wonders Product and is NOT compatible with Smart Sync

3. Order the correct lighting style the simple way by modifying the part number

The LED Bubblers, LED Light and LED Laminar all have integrated programming that arrives ready to go. These products must be ordered in the correct lighting style to match the pool automation system. Ordering the correct style is easy. For CMP only or Jandy/Zodiac systems use the standard part numbers. For Hayward® styles add an “H” to the end of the part number. For Pentair® styles add a “P” to the end of the part number. That’s it!

IMPORTANT TO KNOW

The Smart Sync LED Waterfall Adapter works with all available styles. There is no need to modify the part number. Set your programming style with the dial on the side of the control adapter.

4. Setup Brilliant Wonders Products automation just like your other LED products

When installing Brilliant Wonders LED Products with other lights and automation, always follow the control OEM instructions for installation. With Smart Sync, Brilliant Wonders products are designed to be connected exactly like your other lights.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW

• To create multiple lighting “zones” group lights on different transformers before the automation to control separately
• When setting up automation, you must set the lighting channel according to OEM specifications. Follow all automation and control instructions. Some systems may require you to use a certain channel, while others may require you to designate the channel for LED lighting.
• Always use a 12VAC transformer to connect Brilliant Wonders LED Products (except for the Colorwheel Control).
